Hello everyone I m having a weird problem with a chromebook. I tried to turn it into a windows laptop with success, but there was no sound driver except from some paid projects of third parties. I didnt want to make any changes with unothaurised software so, I decided to return the laptop to original state. Original BIOS that I kept, returns a black screen, other BIOS that I ve found from the...

Lenovo B50 Battery Whitelist Bios Request
I know that what I m looking for is maybe totally unknown... but I have some 3rd party batteries for Lenovo Ideapad B50 ( B50-30, B50-45, B50-70 ) that are ok, ( I have tested them with special charging machine ) but various machines refuse to charge them. I strongly believe that it is the same "whitelist" issue that happens to various Thinkpad laptops that you have to load a modded EC file to let it charge 3rd party batteries. If anyone has any other solution except for breaking the batteries and changing the original circuit board with the 3rd party one, I would be happy to know.

Re: How to wake up laptop battery
Thank you very much for your replies, after a lot of troubleshooting involving manually charging each battery by making holes each side, I 've just managed to increase the Voltage back to normal levels 12-14V, but their capacity cannot be increased. Factory says there is a damage on the cells themselves and not a deep sleep of the circuit, but I don't trust them a lot. Thanks again for your help.

How to wake up laptop battery
Greetings to all members of the forum, I have 5 pieces of lenovo G50 batteries, new in their boxes, that have fallen into sleep mode, because of 6month storing in my warehouse. Their voltage should be around 14.4V, but they measure from 3.9 to 5.85V each one and cannot charge either by laptop circuit or the special battery charger I possess. I think that my only option is to give the batteries some more voltage for a short period of time, trying to wake them up. if somene has developped a steady method with good results, I would be happy to learn from him.

Bios of Sony SVE1512C6EW
Hello everyone, I have this vaio mentioned in the title. They brought it to me after a faulty try of updating it. I am not sure if the original chip has now good data to compare, so if someone could help me by uploading the bios I should program inside the bios chip. (single bios chip no cutting needed) I would appreciate that.
Sony link to the bios is hereHello everyone, I have this vaio mentioned in the title. They brought it to me after a faulty try of updating it. I am not sure if the original chip

Re: Lenovo Yoga 500-15ISK BIOS or Battery charging chip
Francisco.s that was one of the first things I' ve tried with no luck.... Unfortunately I had to pay to a local engineer to fix the motherboard.... motherboard is alive now.... battery is dead, it cannot charge at all. it must have drained too much power and burnt the charging circuit I think. I don't believe that this guy revived my laptop by refreshing the bios. Any fresh ideas? ( Motherboard doesn't seem any components changed, but as the components are removed with hot air, there shouldn't be anything visible )

Lenovo Yoga 500-15ISK BIOS or Battery charging chip
Hello everybody. My problem is a dead Lenovo Yoga 500-15ISK just 2 months out of warranty. As of previous yoga models, this one had some charging problems for about a month and now it stopped working completely. When you place the ac adapter you can see a blinking led in battery and blinking keyboard backlight once every some seconds. Tried everything from peripherals and I am ensured that the problem comes from the motherboard. If anybody can split this bios file for me, I would appreciate that, and if anyone knows...

Re: Toshiba C50 Dual Bios programming
The laptop is up and functional, special thanks to techman1025, but all these seem really weird to me. Could anyone explain to me how should I see the original separated bios files, to send them to you? Should I export them from each original bios chip? I haven't found any functions of exporting data files from bios chips in my programmer's GUI application.

Toshiba C50 Dual Bios programming
Hello guys, I am relatively new to bios programming, but I try to get deeper, I hope you could help me. I have a piece of art 500$ programmer that I do my job most of the times, right now I am stuck in a laptop with dual bios chip I guess. Model is Toshiba Satellite C50-A-19T, it has 2 bios chips, 25Q16BVSIG and 25Q32BVSIG. I have downloaded the latest insyde bios from Toshiba site in .fd format, renamed the .fd file to .bin file, and reprogrammed succesfully the 25Q16BVSIG chip. The laptop had some common bios failure function with blank screen and some leds, but now it turns on by itself on...

Re: HP G62 Overheating
If anyone can be helped from that, the problem of the laptop was a faulty heatsink. The fluid or gas, or whatever has inside was absent, so it couldn't freeze the system. No obvious hole on the heatsink... Sometimes things may be simpler than we believe.

HP G62 Overheating
Hello everybody, I need your lights and exepience to gain some time.
Laptop is HP G62 with an I3 processor and a switchable AMD Radeon GPU.
Laptop appears a heavy load of RAM use and it's powering down. When powered on, BIOS shows that system was put in hybernation due to overheating.
My actions:
- I Cleaned the fan from inside, put new thermal grease compound. (it really gives a blast of cool air now.)
- I tried new ram module and a used I3 working processor with no effect.
Laptop cannot complete the format process in windows 7. It always crashes...

Re: Acer Aspire 6920G reboots on AC Adapter
After some research, I think that you are right lti. This model has the same cap for regulating power consumption, as Toshiba A300 has, with the same problem. I have ordered it, and I am about to change it next week. Hope it will do my job.

Acer Aspire 6920G reboots on AC Adapter
Hello everybody,
This is my first thread in this forum, I hope I'll be lucky.
I 've run into this problem for 4th or 5th time with no success.
Laptop model is Acer Aspire 6920G and although it works fine on battery, when ac adapter is plugged in it, randomly crashes and reboots.
Battery is checked to be ok, different power adapters have been used, the power jack checked to be ok, different CPUs have been used, but no solution.
I am definately sure that it's a common motherboard failure for this model. Some claim that it's a faulty Sata controller, others...

Hello to everybody, username is Lagouzas, but real name is Lazaros. I run a laptop service store in Greece and I would thank everybody for sharing his knowledge about these creeping machines! I'm a Greek 27 years old, and quite new to the electronics world... never too late I think!
