I just took a chance and picked up a Samsung plasma TV for $25 to try and fix. Here is a summary of what I know so far:

1)Plugging in the TV a here a few clicks of what I assume is a relay, but the TV does not power on.

VS = 0V
Va = 0V
VSC = 0V

2) Disconnecting the X board from the Y board allows the TV to go to standby mode with a red light in the front. When I press the power button the set powers on with the usual power on tune.

VS = 200V and slowly bleeds off to 0V
Va = 57V and slowly...

Hello!

Trying to get access so I can get some expertise on a Samsung plasma TV so I will go ahead and introduce myself. I graduated from Miami University in 2011 with a BS in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology. I currently work as an electronics engineer in the lighting industry. I like to dabble in things I don't know enough about and get in over my head. My ADD causes me to want to start multiple projects at the same time and my laziness means that I don't finish half of them. Hopefully I can learn something...
