Re: Sharp LC-60LE640U 1 long, 1 short blink
I cant get the best shots to show but on the first menu it says lamp reset....I turn it on and unplug the unit and let it sit for a bit and turn back on and nothing. Is there a save changes option I'm missing. Could have swore i read something that said unplugging it saves the changes....

Re: Sharp LC-60LE640U 1 long, 1 short blink
To the best of my knowledge. I cleared the lamp code in the K menu. TV is turning on, still no backlight. No more codes. I can manually power on one of the strips and get a partial picture. Just cant get the power board to kick on the LEDs strips by itself. I was hoping someone had the schematic to tell me what was suppose to be coming out of the power board into each strip....

Re: Sharp LC-60LE640U 1 long, 1 short blink
I traced the leads, checked and double checked my work prior to putting everything back together. Like I said, I can power each section of the strips from the cable that plugs into the power board using the LED tester and everything works flawlessly when I do that but I cant find a schematic that would show me the voltage coming from that section of the board. Its tests as 64.6v per section. I'm not throwing any codes since repair but I still cant get the TVs backlights to work without powering them with the tester.

Re: Sharp LC-60LE640U 1 long, 1 short blink
Agreed, and I usually dont. In this case, the LEDs weren't the issue. I have a shopjimmy backlight tester and narrowed it down to the strip. Turned out that the connector had broken solder joints. Couldn't get the connector to go back on so I removed and soldered the wires directly to the strip. Now the LED strip gets power from the backlight tester and will allow me to light up the strip without issue. Put everything back together and the power board is only putting out 64v per connection...total of 4 connections(2 strips...Last edited by fixitelectronix; 12-24-2018, 10:15 PM.

Re: Sharp LC-60LE640U Backlight LED's
I ordered some 6v 1w led 7030 diodes on ebay. Hoping for a positive result on this. Based off your measurements of 300ma-400ma they would be 2watt. I've spent some time searching for these as well. Dont wanna buy a whole strip at 100$.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-52S4100 No picture or Sound
Yes I have a DMM & soldering equipment. I can get my hands on an oscilloscope if needed. If I could find the proper schematic for the board it would help as well. I understand main boards aren't an easy task. I was just wondering what expertise we have available and if anyone has repaired this problem without replacing the board....

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-52S4100 No picture or Sound
Old topic. But I now have the same TV with the same issue. I've disconnected the above cable with the same results. I've used a voltmeter to test the voltage. There's 5 volt on the b-on when cable is diconnected but loses it when cable is connected. I'd like to attempt to repair the main board instead of replacing it because it's a little pricey and hard to find in stock. If others can repair then I'm sure I could as well. besides replacing the board, has anyone figured out if an IC is causing this issue. Seems like it's grounding...

Re: Seiki SE322FS w/sound/no video
Unfortunately I ended up junking the panel. Not worth the trouble attempting to find replacement led strips.

Re: Seiki SE322FS w/sound/no video
Theres only 1 board in this set. I can promise its not a board issue at this point but I'm sure the cheap construction caused the leds to fail

Re: Vizio VP422HDTV10A picture problems
I apologize for the late response. I work 50 hours a week or more during the holidays. The first picture is before I turn down the voltage on the y sustain board. The second picture shows how it clears up but even if something is on the screen, I still have color distortion....

Re: Seiki SE322FS w/sound/no video
I have same problem. Tore apart panel to exact same problem. After doing research....found this thread. Can't find replacement strips either but if you find anything in your search....it would be greatly appreciated if you report your findings

Vizio VP422HDTV10A picture problems
I have a Vizio i just ordered a new "X" board for(atleast thats what its being called) I assumed it would be the "Z" board but its not. Anyways, I was able to get the tv to power up and display a picture. Now the picture is showing a lava lamp effect which points to the "X" board again. The 2 Ribbon cables going to the "X" board are sparking on the frame. When i adjust the voltages on the X and Y board, picture improves but doesn't fix the bad color. Main voltage on the Y board was 180-186. If i lower the voltage to 120, it fixes the lava effect after a...
