Re: Sharp Aquos lc-60le831u question about LED's
Totally understand about not being in a hurry. Although, I would want to dig in and get my TV fixed (especially being a 60"). But to each his own. In 12-13 years I have only come across 2 of the same TV's within a reasonable time frame. This also depends on how many you buy, etc... I understand about the unknown hours on the LED's too so maybe someone will come out with new LED's for you. I was pricing them LOWER than what other people had them priced at on there. One person has 2 strips for $89 + shipping the entire assembly...

Re: LG 50LA6970 backlight turns off after 2-4 minutes
Going to check this over the weekend, havent had time yet. Oh yeah, have to be careful. I have now successfully fixed 2 75" Samsungs that had bad LED strips so I know how it is with large panels... its freakin scary LOL
42-60" seem like nothing to remove now haha

Re: Sharp Aquos lc-60le831u question about LED's
I can confirm the length after work.
As to not wanting to pay $80 to fix a 60" Quattron...i'll leave no comment on that
BUT. I will say good luck to you if you try waiting on finding the same TV with the same LED's in it. The person will want at least $50-60 for it from my past 12 years of buying TVs. Why do you say youll break the screen? It's easy to take out with this one... it has its own metal encasing that it sits in, not just the lcd screen itself.
Thank me later... think im dumb...

Pics are on eBay. I have the 40/40 LED strips so theres a total of 80 LED's on one strip. Have you opened it up to see the LED strips yet? I actually replaced all 4 of my LED strips in it then decided to sell the 3 that were actually working. Mine were all the same amount of LED's on each strip.Re: Sharp Aquos lc-60le831u question...wPBavo18[/url]

Re: LG 50LA6970 backlight turns off after 2-4 minutes
Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, I guess that is true, it could just be 1 led on 1 strip. Ill take the LED strips out and test to see who the culprit is... Ill also look for bad grounds/solder joints. Someone else was having issues with those on another one of these but their symptoms were the backlights were flashing on/off like flickering

LG 50LA6970 backlight turns off after 2-4 minutes
So I have a lot of experience with LED's going bad. Most of the time they either wont turn on at all or they come on for a split second and then go out (and you can still see the picture doing the flashlight test. The LED's on this set go off after about 3 minutes. I can even play some XBOX or cable on it for these 3 minutes - then they go out and I can still see the picture with the flashlight. My question is: Is this looking more like a LED Driver board problem because of the amount of time it takes for the LED's to go out? From my experience they usually turn off/go out fast if one or a couple...

Re: Post The Led Backlights Your Fixing Here.
I've been fixing TV's on the side for 12-13 years now ever since I was 14. My Dad had a Vizio 42" under his bed that was broken that I fixed with 2 caps and that started it all! Anyways - heres a list of TV's I've fixed LED's in within the last month - prepare yourselves lol:
Vizio e470i-a0
Hisense 50h5g
Sharp LC-60LE681u
Samsung UN75F6300 - yes you read that correctly. I replaced these by myself with no special contraption.
Vizio P502ui-B1E (this was because of an issue with the LED Driver board,...

Re: Sharp LC-50LB370U Where to buy LED Strips?
Gorilla,
A novice can do this with a lot of PATIENCE. Don't man handle anything if its difficult to get out (the screen especially). You had to take the back off, disconnect the TCON ribbon cables (from the boards connected to the screen to the TCON), flip over the TV and unscrew the front bezel piece from around the sides, take off the front bezel piece which reveals the LCD screen. There shouldnt be anything else holding down the screen, but be careful not to flex or bend the LCD screen at any time during removal. After...

TC-P58S2 10 Blinks
Have looked around a little and see 7 and 1 blink posts but I have not seen a 10 blink post. Can someone give me some information? I turn the TV on with the power button on the side of the TV on the main board and it gives me 10 blinks - I tested some power and did not get power to the ysus. Really all ive tested so far. Does anyone know what the 10 blink code means?
Thanks in advance,

RCA LED50B45RQ - No Power or Standby light
Hey Guys, I am on here a lot and wanted to let you guys know what fixed my LED50B45RQ. Got it in with no standby light at all - had power on the power board. I ordered a main board from ebay and it turned the tv on but I got the wrong one. Anyways - there is a capacitor on the main board that is right next to a red plug coming from the 24v I believe - and I replaced that and BAM - Fixed! (1 of the 2 capacitors total on the board)
Thanks for all the help you guys give me, I look to give back a little

And holy crap, after searching my parts warehouse (Closet) I had an inverter board in there from a prior TV, and it WORKS!!!!! OMG! So excited, I spent $50 on this broken one and fixed it within an hour!

Re: 46LA45RQ 2 CCFL's not lighting up
After inspecting more, I believe one of the transformers on the inverter board is going or went... one part of it has a smoky white liquid material under the tape where the copper wire is wrapped around it. All the others do not have this...
