Purchase a YB board from eBay for around £20..
Once fitted to the TV the picture brightness from the top half was improved
considerably to the point where I don't notice it on dark scenes anymore.
Going up close to the TV you can still see the line very slightly, but as you don't watch TV this close, its not really an issue.
Replacing this YB Board was fairly easy if you take your time, and don't rush.

Did you manage to repair your TV by replacing the YB buffer Board ?
My TV has started with the same issue.. e.g. top half brighter on dark scenes.
It appears from left to right..
I have read on some other forums that people have replaced the whole panel to resolve this issue ? not sure if this is because they can't be bothered repairing or its just not repairable due to Plasma Dirty Screen Effect ? DSE ?Leave a comment:
