I have an issue with this laptop. The original BIOS was already overwritten and was not saved before, so I don't have a dump or know which BIOS has to be flashed on this Device. In the HP image for this model, there are four different Versions:

I have been trying to fix a naughty lenovo laptop.
Laptop come to me as not booting or ginving picture. So I have cleaned the ME on the BIOS and it come to life, but here is the tricky part:
When you turn on with the power button the led-s come on and fan is spinning but after 20 seconds it reboots.
It restarts 4 times before giving picture on BIOS.
+ BIOS battery 3.01v and BIOS is remembering the settings uppon shutdown and restart.
+ battery is fine
When only charger is connected, the laptop instantly consumes 0.030 milliamps and...

I've got an USB005 and it looks like my VRM is working fine, but as long as the board shows qcode 8, I'd like to rule out the VRM section as the root cause of the issue.

so my half-year out of warranty Dell Latitiude 5320 (19817-1 SOUTH PEAK 13 10L) w/ i5-1145G7 and 16GB just started to act weirdly...

The first/upper USB-C/TB port suddenly didn't accepted the charger every time and sometimes only a different one... or with a different cable but so far, the self-diagnostics didn't noticed anything so I suspected a dirty port.

I'm trying to get an MS-15831 Ver 1 motherboard fixed. Input voltage is present at 19V, there is 3.3v on the Power button which drops to 0v when power button pressed but laptop doesn't start up. The 3.3V and 5V rails pulse on when the power button is pressed but pretty much nothing else. It does not appear to draw any current when the battery is attached either - Just getting a pulse of 330ma current draw when the power button is pressed which then drops off within a second. I can find no schematic or anything for this laptop so was hoping someone might have some idea on where to check next?

Replaced the keyboard+LED backlight+topdeck unit with a completely assembled aftermarket part a few months ago due to failing keys (Spacebar, X, R; seems to be a common issue for 2020 model). I thought this would also fix my RGB backlight issue but the problem remains, actually it got worse, so it has to be a failing part on the mobo itself. The middle RGB zone can no longer light up blue and is instead stuck on green, even if all kb backlight is turned off that zone stays lit..

Does anyone know what part number the IC labeled UI3 is? Seems to be some kind of LED controller chip....

Hello there I need help identifying this components, one of this is probably shorted, because it has low impedance measuring coil from vout to GND, I suspect it might be 5 or 3v but not sure, I don't find any references to this marking codes. If someone has any info please let me know. DFAF JB, CUHF JC. It is from a HP Victus laptop DDR5 CPU AMD. There are no schematics or boardviews for this model, and no datasheet. Surprisingly enough, this receiver doesn't have the DSP chip issue. The HDMI board does not get hot, and sound over HDMI works fine.

Regardless of the input, the right channel has noise that is clearly noticeable even on average volume level. The only cases when there's no noise is when VCR input is selected (some tracks on the board are damaged, maybe that's why), or if HDMI input is selected but nothing plugged into it. In all other cases, even when no input is connected I still have the noise.

There's some logic behind it. As soon as I select an input I get only left...

I picked this up and it had picture but no backlight. I was somewhat familiar with his TV as the LED driver fails a lot on this model. But when I tested the LED driver it had all the voltages necessary. I even had a spare one to try out just in case and that one did not solve the problem either.

I tested all the LEDs before pulling the screen apart but ended up pulling the screen apart anyways to further test them. Every one of them tests at 90 volts with the tester. They all light up. I replaced a couple as seen in the picture because I had extra and I accidentally popped the cap...

Hello friends, I have this laptop which would not turn on, I detected that the 3v and 5v source circuits were damaged and a 6 pin circuit in short, which I suppose are diodes, I'm not sure since there is no diagram, I removed this circuit and the sources and there is no longer a short, the new 3v and 5v sources were installed and the laptop now works, the problem is that I don't know what this 6-pin circuit is, I think it has to do with the battery, since the operating system does not detect the battery, I measured the IC pins and they go to these pins of the battery connector, does anyone know...

My KORG iS50 has a volume issue where the internal speakers are only acceptable above ~50% on the master slider. What's worse is that the headphone (phones out) and line outputs are extremely quiet, even at max volume. Both left and right channels are equally affected.

Here's what I've checked:
Voltages: Vcc to DAC section measures ~5V, MUSB (mute pin on the DAC) measures ~4.xxv, and the 2 op-amps show ~9V
Master Volume Slider: Resistance ranges from single-digit Ω to ~11kΩ (seems functional).
Visual Inspection: Capacitors on the main/speaker...

I have a TCL 43S435 with no backlights. I contacted ShopJimmy and they said power supply. I got replacement power supply, but still doesnt work. I have confirmed that there is an image with flashlight test. I have also verified that the led strips work when I probe them with LED tester. Any ideas would be helpful. My Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board...

Picked up FA617NS laptop from bin 😀

Have situation were it fails to boot windows/linux for random set of times and then boots and works like nothing happened.
You can shutdown it and then if it powers on via fast start it works, but if you reboot it boot loops is here again.

Changed thermal paste with pads, changed ssd, changed memory
Battery are in bad shape, but disconnecting connection it changes nothing.
Noticed that when it lags, it does not react to power button correctly and sometimes lags in bios.

Hello everyone my oven is less than 2 years old and all of a sudden recently when i run the oven for 15 minutes or so and i am done with it and shut it off. after about 10 minutes it starts chiming and randomly putting it in different modes like the touch screen is being touched but no one is around it. Working on a board HP EPK50 LA-G07EP. Owner tried to replace LCD display without disconnecting battery. Afterwards, the notebook turns on for a few seconds and shuts off.
Mainrail looks fine, battery charges. I have +5VALWP, but that's it.
I measure short to ground (0.03Ohms) on +3VALWP and +1.0V_PRIMP.

Injecting 1v at 3A on PL1001 and PL302 only slightly warms up the cpu after several minutes.

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded !
