Re: Zbook 15u G6 (PR/ID 4YW47AV) not charging
New measurement taken
Motherboard removed and connected to Power supply without battery
It seems that P3V3DS is missing.
How to trigger?Comment

@mon2
Can you please check the attached pdf with voltage measurements?
Do you suspect any faulty fet so as to check the resistance between S-D, S-G and G-D?
I understand that all measurements should be at the range of Hundred K ohmsComment

Re: Zbook 15u G6 (PR/ID 4YW47AV) not charging
Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode.
Measure the resistance to ground of P3V3DS. Checking if there is a short on this power rail that may have stopped this rail from operating. If the resistance is ok then check the voltage to ground at the input of the voltage regulator that creates this rail from PVBAT (U60100). Also check if the enable for the same regulator is present to enable the power rail. Inspect this regulator for possible damage.Comment

@mon2
I have checked all the Mosfets and I found here below short circuited
Actually I have measured with Ohmmeter the resistance between (scale 200K)
1. ----1,2,3 (S) and 5,6,7 (D) 0.00 Ohm
2. ----4(G) and 5,6,7,8 (D) 0.00 Ohm
3. ----1,2,3 (S) and 4 (G) 0.00 Ohm
Furthermore it is a little discolored (overheated)
This is a SM3335PSQGC_TRG
Attached the Datasheet from Internet
Is there any equivalent or I shall to order that from Aliexpress.Comment

This is a P channel mosfet. You can use AON7403 as replacement.Comment

Hi all
We have in a HP ProBook 445 G8 laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. When power is connected the power LED light blinks 5 times then stops. Normally HP laptops will blink this LED 10 times as it does a self test when the AC adaptor is inserted. So there must be some sort of short somewhere.
The battery doesn't charge, and is erratic on the MM voltage. Bench PSU LED pulsates when the battery is connected also. So the fault must be on the charging circuit?
I have gone around the board with a MM and cant find anything

by piernov1. Some theory
1.1. Introduction
Almost every laptop has a charging circuit of some sort, that does a few things:- Manages switching between AC adapter and battery power
- Manages battery charging and generates power rail to charge battery
There are 2 different designs to handle switching between AC adapter and battery power and feeding the system:- Hybrid power boost (HPB) and traditional circuits without power boost (see Warning in HPB section)
- Narrow VDC (NVDC)
Texas instrument has a nice overview of these technologies with some more details at https:... -
by kodoxsince i couldn't find schematic or boardview for this model (LA-K062P), i use closest board model found here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-and-boardview
the schematic share same marking for each component, using same PD-Controller, same BQ25710, the only different is the battery cell used. LA-K061P uses 3S battery while LA-K062P use 4S battery per schematic.

by ShinjuHey All!
Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!
I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.
The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.
When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.
TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows... -
Hello everyone
I have been working on this laptop mentioned in the title, it initially had a shorted capacitor. After I replaced it, the thing started working again, but there is still another problem. The laptop was running off a charger, the battery was reporting 96% charge... but when I unplugged the charger, the laptop died. I've measured the battery voltage - 0V. I think it is locked. (Screenshot from batterymon, below).
I've ordered a new 3rd-party battery, but I think there's something wrong with it too - the laptop boots, but the battery isn't charging. Also,... - Loading...
