Hi, I have this TV that won't turn on. Only the red LED is solid. All voltages are present on the power supply. I'm not sure how the inverter and CCFL lamps work (I haven't tested them). The green SMD LED is on on the main board. I'd like to reinstall the firmware, but I haven't been able to find it on the Toshiba website. Do you know where I can find it?

I'm still relatively new to the world of electrical repairs.

I have a Macbook here that I can't figure out

When the battery is gone, the USB input consumption goes up to 20 V and 0.06A. But it breaks down after about 2-3 seconds and you can also hear a small ticking on the logic board. But I can't pinpoint it exactly.

I removed the logic board and took a few measurements.

But I can't really figure it out.

At first I thought the infamous CD chip was defective - but then of course you read more on the internet...

Hello everyone,
I have an ASUS TUF Gaming FX505GD that's powering on, showing the ASUS logo for about 2 seconds with keyboard backlight, then immediately shuts off. After it shuts down, the power button does nothing until I unplug the laptop completely. No fans spin afterward either.

I’ve tried:
- CMOS reset
- Removing the SSD/HDD
- Reseating RAM (removing each stick individually stops boot completely)
- Cleaning up recently applied thermal paste around CPU/GPU and nearby VRM components (issue persists)

I want to connect serial debug line, but the usual scheme of 4 contacts for pins is present 3 times, under the board top part, if connect them always in the same way GND, RX, TX, i obtain the same very short log in right snd left ports , the center port gives me no output, i whish to be able to enter some menu or even the service menu trough this.. could anybody address me how to? Later i will swap RX-TX in the center port but almost suremy is disabled..

The pot in the pick is new and supposedly for my Kenwood KR-6030. The pot is exactly the same as the ones on my board except it has 8 pins instead of 6. As I look at it the lst 2 pins seem to be for ground. Is it possible to cut the last 2 pins off and still use it? It would fit into the board if I do so but I need to be sure I can. Any ideas on this delema. I can find another one anywhere. Thank for any help you can give me.

Hi Guys.
Here I have a 4070ti with some issues.
When powered on the led lights which power on (where the zotac logo is) flash green 3 times. Once it has flashed green 3 times it does not post.

Just to mention I have not worked on many 40x cards before therefore some of my assumptions could be wrong. If you do happen to find that my analysis is wrong or I have missed something feel free to comment.
Additionally, I do not have a schematic for this exact card model so if anyone is willing to post the schematic it would be much appreciated.

Hey,

A month back I replaced the selector switch IC on my Panasonic SA-HD52 as the radio was still playing when I selected the CD, it did this with the tape and record too.

Now when I replaced the IC it worked perfectly, no cross talking and I left it at that for a month and have come to it today to play a CD (you can hear it spinning) and the issue has come back although with another issue.

Both issues are random, the original problem where the radio will play over other playbacks has come back and another time you turn it on it will refuse to play anything,...

Can any of you, much-cleverer-than-me, experts help me bring a TV back to life, please?

It has a no picture or sound problem, even though the red standby light switches to green when switched on from the remote. I've tried a hard reset, but no improvement. Also have removed the rear access panel and physically & electronically (multimeter) checked fuses (x3) plus all capacitors, diodes and resistors - all of which appear fine. When plugging it back into the mains, with the rear access panel still removed, I can see the back light IS working but the screen remains black and unresponsive...
