Thinkpad E15 Gen2 Intel "lower wattage AC Adapter"
    by danny34
    Hello folks,

My Thinkpad E15 Gen2 with i7 had stopped loading and wouldn't start either. I noticed the typical error with the Mosfet QB6. This has become unsoldered.

I soldered it back on and found that the gate voltage was too low and that's why it was getting hot. Then I wanted to replace the UB7. Unfortunately the one I ordered from China didn't want to run.
So I soldered the old one back in and it still has its 18.9V at the output of QB6.
I stuck a thermal pad on the QB6 to cool it down a bit.

Now the E15 is running again, but unfortunately...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
    by Alicat
    Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

    Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

iPhone 11 Pro stuck at 1%
    by unimatrix93
    Hello everyone,

I have succesfully replaced the battery of a iP11 Pro.

I used an aftermarket (decoded) battery with the extra connection.

I removed the original BMS of the original apple battery, fixed it up and everything worked perfectly for about a month or so. No battery message error, correct chargin percent and everything.

But now my Phone's battery level shows 1%, shows the battery error massage about unknown battery. Also the battery wont charge (altough it pings when I connect it).

I extracted the crashlog with 3uTools....

What do color variations on SMD Capacitors mean?
    by silver60618
Hi All, I am working on a motherboard, with 10uf caps in a series. One of them is blown. The spares I have are 10uf dark brown, and the original ones in the photo are light brown/tan.

#1 Does the cap color have any meaning? i.e. size 0603/0805, voltage, etc? is it ok if same value, different color? I only have the dark brown caps

#2 These caps look like they are in a series, is it necessary to swap all of them or just the bad one?

#3 Can any problems arise from using a higher rated uF capacitor? ie using 15uf instead of the 10uf?

    Any help would...
